Our Roots & Story
This path is guided by our family, whose life and work are grounded in the ancestral heritage connected to the indigenous groups from our lineage: Bribri, Cabecar, Teribe Chiricano original indigenous peoples of this land. Growing up immersed in these roots and the vibrant natural world of Costa Rica, the understanding of nature's interconnectedness, its profound capacity for healing, and the traditional view of all living things as having spirits became a guiding force, deeply informed by the spiritual traditions and plant knowledge carried within my ancestry.
The foundation of our center is built upon this heritage, often with the direct involvement and support of family members who share this vision, connection, and dedication to service.

This means we grow the plants ourselves, participate in their respectful and sustainable harvesting when the time is right, and lovingly prepare the sacred brews following traditional methods. This deep, hands-on connection, from tending the plants in the soil to preparing the medicine shared in ceremony, ensures its purity, vitality, and energetic integrity, grounding our entire practice in authentic reverence for the plant spirits and the earth.
